Guldager A/S has initiated a strategic collaboration with the North Jutland company Hydro-X, which has for many years supplied chemical products for water treatment in the industrial sector and the cogeneration sector. The purpose of the collaboration is to exploit the common synergies between the two companies, where there will be a focus on joint business opportunities at a European level through the exploitation of know-how, products and services.
Hydro-X has a large partner network with broad experience in water and cooling treatment and with several ISO certifications, which ensures consistent high-quality products and service. Guldager has a long history within water treatment and a broad-based service business. Guldager works for sustainable water treatment, and has joined the UN Global Compact and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The strategic collaboration with Hydro-X is another milestone in Guldager's history, which this year celebrates its 75th anniversary since its founding in 1946 by Guldager the brothers Harald and Poul Guldager The company was a family-run business until 2016, with a generational change taking place in 2016 when the Danish private equity fund Capidea took over the majority stake. Guldager . Capidea is a Danish private equity fund that makes investments in competitive small and medium-sized Danish companies with potential for growth. In addition to the majority shareholder Capidea, it is owned by Guldager today by Hydro-X International and the management of the company.
