New rules make water testing mandatory in nursing homes and hospitals

To protect vulnerable citizens from Legionnaires' disease and comply with the new EU Water Directive, the government has issued binding rules on Legionella control in nursing homes and hospitals.

Sampling is the responsibility of the building owner, but it will always be in collaboration with the nursing home management, as it is a matter of health for the residents of the nursing homes.
The Danish Agency for Social Affairs and Housing has sent out a letter to building owners, drawing attention to the new rules.

In cases where samples exceed the limit value, the building owner is obligated to investigate the cause of the high numbers, advise residents and create an action plan to remedy the problem. We can help with all of this too.
