New regulations make water testing mandatory in nursing homes and hospitals

To protect vulnerable citizens against Legionnaires' disease while complying with the new EU Drinking Water Directive, the government has issued binding regulations regarding Legionella control in nursing homes and hospitals.

The property owner is responsible for taking samples, but this will always be done in collaboration with the nursing home management, as it concerns the health of the residents.
The Danish Agency for Housing and Planning has sent a letter to property owners drawing attention to the new regulations.

In cases where test results exceed the threshold values, the property owner is obligated to investigate the cause of the elevated levels, advise the residents, and formulate an action plan to remedy the issue. We can also assist with all of this.
