Guldager As of July 1, 2020, A/S has acquired Drytech—a 100 percent Danish-owned company founded by Niels Olsen in 2012. Drytech has installed more than 1,000 systems that dry out basements for Danish homeowners and housing associations.
The Most Affordable and Best Electro-osmosis
At Drytech, you get the most effective—and even the most affordable—method for drying out masonry. “Our system is by far the leading and most well-documented system for this purpose, which is why we’re pleased to now be part of Guldager,” says Niels Olsen. The system is based on the renowned German Drymat System, developed in 1997 by Frank Lindner. His company is Europe’s leading manufacturer of electro-osmosis technology, which is quality-assured through an Önorm standard. Drytech is currently the exclusive distributor of the system in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Electro-osmosis is the green path to a dry basement
- contributes to a healthy indoor climate
- operates without chemicals
- consumes as little power as a television on standby
- reduces heat consumption
- consists of materials with the same lifespan as the building
- results in a smaller carbon footprint
Drytech's system offers both a clear financial advantage and exceptional efficiency. Significant savings can be achieved by utilizing Drytech's system compared to traditional solutions, and the system's power consumption is less than 10 DKK per month.

Guldagers’ acquisition of Drytech is significant for housing associations and residential properties—such as those Guldager already serves—as it now makes it possible to offer a comprehensive service package to this type of client. Guldager can therefore now also offer basement drying and maintenance services for these properties.
Claus Torbøl, CEO of Guldager, is enthusiastic about the acquisition and looks forward to even better service opportunities: “We are very pleased that Drytech is becoming part of Guldager. We are a leading Danish company in the water treatment sector that, over nearly 80 years, has built a European organization with skilled and motivated employees. The water treatment sector is experiencing rapid growth, and Guldager possesses strong expertise and a solid market position in Denmark, Switzerland, and Belgium. Our goal in the coming years will be to leverage the extensive experience of the employees at Guldager to expand the company’s water treatment business through continued business development, acquisitions, and the integration of new technologies.”
