Geno-EDI-X

Electrical deionization GENO-EDI-X
Finished demineralization after reverse osmosis
GENO-EDI-X plants serve as the process step for final demineralization (polisher) after a reverse osmosis GENO-OSMO. A conductivity of up to 0.055 µS/cm can be achieved. Electrical deionization (EDI) is an electrochemical demineralization and process engineering combination of electrodialysis and ion exchange. The EDI module consists of ion-selective membranes and regenerative ion exchange resins placed between two electrodes. DC voltage at the poles forces the ions to migrate according to their charge and eventually the water is demineralized. The different EDI plant models have maximum dilution rates of 100 l/h to 2,700 l/h.
