Environmentally friendly CO2 dosing prevents limescale

The CalcFree system is a carbon dioxide (CO2) dosing system that, optionally in combination with a Katolyse® system, prevents both limescale precipitation and corrosion throughout the entire pipe network up to the final draw-off point.

CO2 is naturally part of the chemical equilibrium involved in limescale precipitation. By dosing an excess of CO2 into hard water, the calcium remains in solution, preventing it from precipitating onto heating surfaces in heat exchangers and piping systems.

CalcFree Pro is cost-effective to operate. Carbon dioxide consumption is very modest and has no noticeable impact on water quality. Since carbonic acid is already a natural component of water, the dosing has no environmental consequences.
