As of May 1, 2021, Guldager GmbH takes over Thomas Bauer Wassertechnischer Vertrieb - a 100 percent German-owned company, established by Thomas Bauer in 1997.
Bauer's current focus is on the repair and maintenance of public swimming pools, including the servicing of chlorine gas systems and measurement and control technology. The repair area includes repair and replacement of defective components as well as retrofitting of components in swimming pools.
Bauer builds new sand filters or carries out a complete renovation of existing filters in accordance with the specifications of DIN 19643. The creation of assembly plans for new applications is done using modern CAD technology and 3D applications specifically for system construction. This enables Bauer to carry out most of the pipe production in its own workshop, thereby delivering on time. Some of the employees have been working in the construction of municipal swimming pools since 1983 and therefore have in-depth professional knowledge in the field.
The acquisition of Bauer by Guldagers is important for customers in Germany and Switzerland, as it is now possible to offer a complete service program for swimming pools and spas.
Claus Torbøl, CEO at Guldager, is excited about the acquisition and looks forward to even better service opportunities: "We are very pleased that Bauer becomes part of Guldager. We are a leading European company in water treatment, which over almost 80 years has built a European organization with skilled and motivated employees. The water treatment area is growing rapidly, and Guldager has strong competencies and a good market position in Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium. The goal in the coming years will be to use the many years of experience of the employees in Guldager to expand the company within water treatment through continued development of the company, acquisitions of companies and technologies."
