Tips to prevent/reduce the growth of Legionella bacteria in domestic hot water
All taps should be activated/exercised 1-2 times a week on the highest heat. In connection with vacations where there has been no consumption of hot water, all taps should be rinsed thoroughly before use upon return.
Create an artificial consumption with a small constant flow with ONLY the hot water. It is not necessary to have full pressure!
Place the hand shower on the floor when rinsing to avoid excessive aerosol formation.
Leave the room while flushing and make sure the room is well aired/ventilated.
Also remember to:
Exercise the mixer so that it does not settle at the preferred bathing temperature. It is important to turn the mixer to the extreme point of both the cold and hot water.
Clean the pelator from dirt regularly/as needed
Replace the shower hose every 2 years
