Why softeners?
You probably know it well: the shower is ugly and hard to keep clean. Lime streaks in the toilet. Deposits on bathroom tiles or on glass in the dishwasher. An electric kettle or coffee machine that constantly needs descaling. And using fabric softeners in the washing machine to get comfortable laundry. These are all signs that there is too much lime in the water in your home.
This is not unusual, as the water in Denmark is generally very hard due to limestone in the subsoil - although with regional differences.

Softening for the whole home
With a softener installed, you'll have wonderfully soft and limescale-free water throughout your house - avoiding the problems mentioned above. As it also affects your drinking water, it is important that you choose a drinking water approved system. This is our system.
Grünbeck's softening plants - which Guldager distributes - are state-of-the-art and fully automatic plants, which are of course drinking water approved.
Choose the right system
For household softening, you can choose from
3 different installations.
The dimensions of each plant are the same - but the performance is different:
softliQ:SD18 - designed for max. 4 persons. Go to order '
softliQ:SD21 - designed for a maximum of 9 people. Go to order '
softliQ:SD23 - designed for a maximum of 12 people. Go to order '
The order itself takes place via CheapVVS - it works easily and conveniently
NOTE: These softeners apply to villa and townhouses with individual water supply. If you live in a block of flats and have problems with hard water, we recommend that you contact your property manager and refer them to us.
Easy installation
Installing a softener is quick and easy - but you don't have to do it yourself. The law says that when you tamper with electricity and water, you need a licensed professional. Guldager works with a number of approved installers nationwide who know all about your new installation.

Smart system that almost thinks for itself
The new softliQ:SD softeners are fully automatic and almost self-contained. For example, you will be contacted automatically via SMS/app in case of irregularities. Your Guldager installer will take care of this during installation. This way you can be sure to avoid unnecessary downtime.
At the same time, the intuitive display on top of the lid gives you all the information you need.
Warning about moisture on the floor
Many of the smart features have to do with operation, dosing and monitoring. All helping to make it easy and simple for you to have the system. But one of the features is also smart in another way. Few people like water on the floor without you knowing about it. It can cause annoying damage if not caught in time.
You can avoid that with these systems. They are equipped with a sensor on the floor. A sensor that detects moisture/water - for example, as a result of a leak from either the system or other sources in the room. Thanks to the app connection, you will be notified immediately, so the leak can be stopped and any damage avoided.
It's not just smart - it's safe too!
Test the water before buying - water testing equipment for measuring water hardness
Water testing equipment for measuring the hardness of water in softening plants. If you have doubts about the hardness of the water, you can order this water testing equipment (hardness tester). Gives an answer in seconds.
How a softener works
The softener softliQ:SD works according to a so-called ion exchange process. The plant capacity is continuously and automatically adjusted based on your consumption values (water) from the last 4 weeks, automatically taking into account the water consumption for each day of the week.
A daily regeneration is triggered when min. 50% of the current plant capacity is used. At each regeneration only the used plant capacity is regenerated. Only as much salt as necessary is used.
At the latest after four days, the plant triggers a full regeneration for hygienic reasons.
The regeneration time is automatically set during a period when water consumption is low - typically at night.
