Guldager has acquired the 100 percent Danish-owned company POCOS as of 1 August 2020.
Polar Corrosion Services ApS (POCOS) was founded in 2011 by engineer Jan Almqvist. The company is based on basic values and technical knowledge built up through 18 years of work on corrosion protection of Danish ports and steel structures in soil.
POCOS is today one of the leading specialized engineering companies that perform technical calculations of cathodic protection and offers the delivery of products for corrosion protection installations with victim anodes (GACP) or printed stock (ICCP). POCOS also carries out control measurements of existing cathodic protection facilities and also assists in the quality control of anode deliveries from customers’ external suppliers.
We are pleased that we are now becoming part of Guldager, where together we can develop new strong service concepts for the industry” says Director Jan Almqvist.
“We are very proud that POCOS will be part of Guldager and can strengthen the corrosion business in the company. We are a leading Danish company in water treatment, which for almost 80 years has built a European organization with skilled and motivated employees. The water treatment area is growing rapidly and Guldager has strong competences as well as a good position in the market in Denmark, Switzerland and Belgium. The goal in the coming years will be to use the many years of experience of the employees in Guldager to expand the company in water treatment through continued development of the company, acquisition of companies and technologies.” says Claus Torbøl, CEO Guldager.
