Guldager A/S and Grünbeck Wasseraufbereitung GmbH have agreed upon a transaction where Guldager’s Belgian subsidiary, Guldager N.V., acquires Grünbeck’s Belgian subsidiary, Grünbeck BVBA, by January 1st, 2024.
Grünbeck BVBA is a distributor and service provider of the German parent company’s products for water treatment, in Belgium focusing on water softening for private households, while the parent company offers the whole value chain in water treatment for industry and buildings.
With its wide array of products, the parent company specializes in both water softening, deferrization and desalination. The company is also a specialist in ultrapure water and hydrogen, as well as in filtration and water heating treatment.
Already a close partner and supplier of Grünbeck’s product range, Guldager N.V. will continue to do so, taking over all Grünbeck BVBA’s contracts in Belgium.
In a statement accompanying the acquisition Guldager’s CEO, Claus Torbøl, says:
“By unifying the strengths in the two Belgian subsidiaries, Guldager’s many Belgian customers in both the building, industry and HoReCa sectors, as well as Grünbeck´s customers in the residential sector, will benefit from the combined forces in the two companies. Moving forward we will be capable of delivering a wide range of both products and services to both industry and the residential sector. With only one point of contact for the customer, delivery time and administration will be reduced to a minimum.”
Bruno Moriau, General Manager of Guldager N.V, says in a comment to the acquisition:
“We already know our Belgian customers very well. But in uniting the two companies we will widen our service offerings, and at the same time get an even closer relationship with our customers, making daily life with well processed water even easier.”
By closing the acquisition all Grünbeck’s employees and customers in Belgium will be transferred to Guldager’s Belgian subsidiary.
